Geochemical Characterization of Mine Rock

Evaluation of the environmental geochemistry of mine rock associated with underground workings, open pit and waste rock dumps in order to provide long-term management of mine rock material.

Scope of Work:

Assess the current and future status of the acid generating and/or metal leaching potential of the material on site in order to provide long-term management strategies for the mine rock material.

Tools:

Site investigations, mine rock and site water sample collection, laboratory tests: acid-base accounting ( ABA ) including various methods for determination of neutralization potential (NP): Standard Sobek, siderite correction, acid base characterization curves (ABCC) as well as elemental analyses, leach extraction tests.
